Self-Storage Nightmare!

I finally have a working washer and dryer conveniently located in my own apartment! Public facilities are a thing of the past for me, and I couldn’t be happier at the moment. This is all thanks to a very friendly couple of neighbors who were happy to let me have the appliances just to get them off of their hands. We took my truck to the storage unit where the washer and dryer were located, and I saw that this couple had much more on their hands than unwanted appliances! A classic example of when self-storage goes wrong! My new washer and dryer were burried behind mounds of odds and ends stretching floor to ceiling. I dug a path through garbage bags, pillowcases, drink coolers, and just about every other type of household item that could feasibly be packed by people who don’t believe in boxes. These substitute-containers spilled out crayons, silverware, unmatched socks, tangled cords, and more onto the floor of this tiny, shrinking junk-room of doom. Long, painful, yet successful story short; I will soon pour a fresh pile of blankets and clothing fresh from the dryer onto my bed and emmerse myself in its warmth and fragrance… just for nostalgia sake.
I was so thankful that my neighbors did me this favor, that I returned it immediately. The couple will be meeting with local Connecticut movers this weekend for their last day in that horrific storage unit. Professional movers will pack their odds and ends up (USING BOXES THIS TIME!), quilt-wrap all furnishings, and drive these belongings to our storage facility where the couple’s items will be professional loaded into their new improved storage vault! Dear All My Sons,

June 8th of 2008, my apartment building in Northwoods complex experienced a fire in the front left side of the building. This was a traumatic event in my life but my apartment did not sustain any water, fire or smoke damage but due to common hallways, I had to be relocated to another apartment within the complex.

I had a professional company pack and move all contents two days later when we were allowed to enter. I was told by the supervisor that the job was done late in the afternoon but when I went in to see what it looked like, I found they had left a mess as well as some important contents.

Needless to say, they had to return and finish the job. I was not pleased and stressed. When it came near time to move back I decided to research and find someone else to do the return move. I found All My Sons on line and contacted you and began a dialog with Bob. We made arrangements for the move January 2nd of this year.

Though the time scheduled changed due to an emergency, the three movers arrived on time, were very pleasant and went right to work consulting with me as they went. The complete move took only two hours, I had packed things previously, and it was done professionally and with care for my personal belongings.

I would highly recommend you to anyone that needs this service.
