Moving and you can’t be there?

Every move is unique.  Many times individuals and families are up against a strict deadline to be out of one place and into another.  Often people take jobs in another city and are forced to leave behind their entire home to be sold, moved and relocated while they begin their new career.  Well, Connecticut movers are experienced at all types of moves.

When you’re in a situation where you can’t be present, most Connecticut moving companies will allow you to designate an individual to supervise the moving process and provide suggestions for payment options.  The goal of your mover is to make the move as stress-free as possible.  While this may be an overwhelming reality for you, an experienced Connecticut mover is ready to execute your move as if you were present.

Summer move…are we there yet?

Much like the comedy, moving can be a volatile situation if not handled by a professional Connecticut moving and storage company.  Most families move in the summer to avoid interrupting their kid’s school year.  Are you moving this summer? While this is a good time to move for families, moving companies are generally pretty busy this time of year.  I recommend booking your Connecticut move ASAP.  Call or go online to find at least three to five reputable moving companies and begin obtaining quotes.  Hire a moving company that is skilled and backed by years of experience and “are we there yet” won’t be a question in your mind for your Connecticut moving company.    Primarily because professional moving companies arrive on time and your belongings remain in one piece.

Don’t forget about your moving and packing supplies!

Its easy to be enamored by securing a Connecticut moving company and the other logistics associated with a relocation that you forget about securing your belongings.  However, if your home is not properly packed you could be walking into a unpleasant unloading experience.  I recommend when possible to allow your Connecticut moving company to handle your packing, loading, unloading and storing.  Nonetheless, I understand that sometimes budgetary constraints don’t allow for it.  So in those instances I recommend you purchase moving and packing supplies the professionals use.  This way your items are sure to be safe from origin to destination.  Don’t forget about your moving and packing supplies!

Looking for an Experienced Connecticut Mover?

Let me share with you some tell tale signs.  Experienced movers in Connecticut offer stellar customer service at the first point of contact.  The service received either by phone or email usually displays a level of professionalism that is second to no other Connecticut moving company.  Another sign is their in-depth knowledge of their craft.  No question is too hard for an experienced Connecticut mover.  Thirdly, the level of comfort you feel when receiving your moving quote is a definite give-a-way.  In essence, you don’t feel like you’re on a sales call.  Also experienced Connecticut movers won’t bait you with a lower hourly rate, but will provide you with fair and honest pricing.  Your rate will also include the following moving services:

Self-Storage Nightmare!

I finally have a working washer and dryer conveniently located in my own apartment! Public facilities are a thing of the past for me, and I couldn’t be happier at the moment. This is all thanks to a very friendly couple of neighbors who were happy to let me have the appliances just to get them off of their hands. We took my truck to the storage unit where the washer and dryer were located, and I saw that this couple had much more on their hands than unwanted appliances! A classic example of when self-storage goes wrong! My new washer and dryer were burried behind mounds of odds and ends stretching floor to ceiling. I dug a path through garbage bags, pillowcases, drink coolers, and just about every other type of household item that could feasibly be packed by people who don’t believe in boxes. These substitute-containers spilled out crayons, silverware, unmatched socks, tangled cords, and more onto the floor of this tiny, shrinking junk-room of doom. Long, painful, yet successful story short; I will soon pour a fresh pile of blankets and clothing fresh from the dryer onto my bed and emmerse myself in its warmth and fragrance… just for nostalgia sake.
I was so thankful that my neighbors did me this favor, that I returned it immediately. The couple will be meeting with local Connecticut movers this weekend for their last day in that horrific storage unit. Professional movers will pack their odds and ends up (USING BOXES THIS TIME!), quilt-wrap all furnishings, and drive these belongings to our storage facility where the couple’s items will be professional loaded into their new improved storage vault! My neighbors were very pleased with the service and were also pleased to learn that we handle small moves as well. In a few months, the same local Connecticut movers who rescued them from a self-storage nightmare, will deliver a dresser and a crib for their soon-to-be newborn son’s first room. Families helping families… All My Sons Moving and Storage.

Happy 4th of July From Your Local Connecticut Movers!

All My Sons of Connecticut would like to wish everyone a fun filled safe and happy 4th of July.

The 4th of July is one of the most-anticipated holidays of the summer, with food, parades, and of course, fireworks! It was on this date in 1776, that the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, effectively cutting the colonies’ ties to Great Britain. For years, the 4th of July holiday was observed unofficially; it wasn’t until 1941 that Congress declared it a legal holiday. I know I have been celebrating the 4th of July for as long as I can remember.

Picnics and barbeques bring the family together and with a menu of watermelon, corn on the cob, hamburgers or hot dogs, apple pie and ice cream you have the recipe for success.

I don’t know how you plan to enjoy this great holiday, however I would like to point out the ways I celebrate America’s birthday. Like I said, it’s about spending time with family, having fun, eating great American food, the music, and of course the parades and Fireworks. You know it seems more enjoyable for me because it’s like a huge birthday party that America throws for me. I can say that because July 3rd is my actual birthday. Anyways, there are a lot of great events in the area that all your family and friends can enjoy.
